Sweet and Sour Pork

1 lb pork, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 t salt
1/4 c chicken broth
1/4 c cornstarch
1 beaten egg
Beat all but pork together until smooth. Dip pork in batter.Fry in hot cooking oil for 5-6 minutes until golden.

1 green pepper
1/2 c chopped carrot
1 clove garlic
2 T cooking oil
1/2 onion

1 1/4 c chicken broth
1/2 c sugar
1/3 c red wine vinegar
2 t soy sauce
2 T cornstarch
1/4 c cold water

Fry ingredients in the first group until tender. Stir in broth, sugar,vinegar, soy sauce. Boil rapidly for 1 minute. Stir in water, cornstarch.Cook until thickened. Cook 1-2 minutes more. Add pork cubes. Makes 4-6 servings.
